I believe that this is the hardest route at the schoolroom, and it is also one of the best.  Unfortunately it doesn't get much traffic, so be sure to bring a brush.

Follow the crack through gradually more difficult moves as the wall steepens, until you're faced with a difficult move to a high undercling.  Pull a few hard moves here, then keep it together on the totally botch-able slab moves until you reach the chains out right.

Like the Klingon coffee it’s named for, this route will get you heart going. Climb the featured looking face with less good holds than you would like there to be, through some liebacks to a steep bit of climbing past the first lip. A bit of easy slab climbing leads you to the second steep section. Climb through it trending left and enjoy the fun easy climbing to the anchor.

Dynamic and sustained climbing capped by a fun arete finish characterizes this climb.

Sweet arete climb on bomber quartzite.  One of the best 5.10s at the Schoolroom.

Very unique route for the Schoolroom. Make your way up to the steep hand crack and jam your way through. A bit easier for those with small hands so go do it and feel good. After the crack follow a break in the rock at 5.7 and then either step right onto the face or stay in the bushy dihedral to a two bolt anchor.

Background: This route was equipped by Mike Anderson, but I don't know if he ever got around to actually climbing it before he moved. If he didn't, then FA is unknown. I just randomly named this the "Face of Time" from a Townes Van Zandt song. If someone knows the correct name, let me know.

Also, this route was erroneously rated 12a in the Schoolroom pamphlet I put out. I believe it to be more like 5.11c.

This route is one of the longer offerings on Schoolroom.  It begins just left around the corner from "No Talent Ass Clown," climbing the north face of the large dihedral for 40 feet until ledges are obtained then climbs the west facing wall above NTAC to the top.

The bottom half (north face) climbs up some thought provoking 10+/11- terrain.  The upper half provides the crux 5.11 section with close bolts.

It is possible to climb NTAC into the crux wall above, which I would think, would make the whole endeavor a letter grade easier (5.11b) though the crux is the same but the overall feel of the route would be one of less sustained attention. But take that for whatever it's worth. The whole rating stuff...is just personal opinion.

This is an excellent well protected climb for its grade. A good first lead contender for a budding Schoolroom trad climber. Start just left of the big left facing corner South of Bad to the Bone. Follow the crack and face holds, trending left, up to a 2 bolt anchor. This climb does need to clean up a bit and will do so with some traffic but I would suggest a helmet. At the very least one for your belayer.
